大學的新生活才剛開啟，有幸收到外語部邀請，分享國中在葳格的生活，頓時間所有回憶湧上心頭，就讓我來順理成章地分享些有趣的記事吧！
剛進葳格，對於英文學習環境完全不適應的我，沒有想過，在這三年，不僅能夠在華麗的宴會廳裡弦樂重奏，沉醉課業之餘的樂音交響，還能上台參與外語部舉辦的比賽，嘗試當個有模有樣的英文主播——「Welcome to today’s Repubilc of China News again! I am Eric!」，唱著經典百老匯歌舞劇《One》的名曲、改編耳熟能詳的童話故事《Snow White》，做了回編劇和演員開心果，當然，是英文話劇。
在葳格，除了各科辦公室的老師總是悉心地為我解惑，以及溫馨的輔導室外，外語部就像是我的第二個家，雖然可能是因為剛開始上課，對於ESL課程跟外師互動還帶著點懼怕的原因，常跑到外語部辦公室，和助教聊聊天，甚至是單純坐在沙發上，在下課期間，迴避跟外師，又或是英文說得很流利的同學聊天，但在外語部主任、助教們的鼓勵之下，我嘗試在課堂中展露自己學習語言的熱忱，雖然有時會因為口音使外師不太理解我的表達，又或是因為對於單字、片語的使用不熟悉，造成了語意上的誤解，但事實上，班上的同學和老師大部分的時間都會很有耐心的幫助我，這也使我越來越喜歡上ESL課。
上了高中後聽過了許多人的國中回憶，剛開始會羨慕別人不用收手機、不用運動服穿白鞋、制服穿黑皮鞋，不用上快九點、十點才能回到家的夜輔，不用做很多的全英文報告，不用上第二外語，但到現在，這些曾經羨慕他人的事，卻成了我最難以忘懷的回憶——上課用iPad開分頁，就為了跟上韓團最新回歸的MV直播，不小心穿錯鞋，跟教官在走廊求請了好久，吃完餐廳的晚餐，跟三五好友去萊爾富買枝冰，在草皮，在司令台，聊聊天，在夜輔的下課，拖著被知識壓榨完的乾癟身軀，到二樓露台，到天橋，吹吹風。
至於被推上台的英文主播、夜輔完在校車上狂打出來的《Snow White》劇本，如果有人問我為什麼要參加兩次英文主播比賽，為什麼這麼認真為英文話劇付出，我的回答很簡單，是葳格的環境，是葳格的老師，是葳格的同學，是他們讓我想成為「The better Eric」
「沒有什麼事情是不困難的，只要你願意，就不會這麼難。」——這大概是我國中三年的感想，順便分享，高三畢業後剛好去了趟歐洲玩，可以用德文簡單的和當地人交流，聽懂被稱讚的那句話，真的是「Das ist schön」。
最後，就用英文話劇中我最喜歡的那句台詞來作為結尾：「Guys! The beautiful sun has already illuminated every cute little flower!」
My Journey of Growth at Wagor
As I embarked on my new university journey, I was fortunate enough to receive an invitation from the Foreign Language Department to share my experiences from my time in junior high school at Wagor. It brings back a rush of memories, and I'd like to share some interesting highlights of my life there.
When I first entered Wagor, I was completely unaccustomed to an English learning environment. Little did I know that over the next three years, I would not only perform orchestral music in the magnificent banquet hall, where the melodic tunes intertwined with academic pursuits, but I would also step onto the stage to participate in competitions organized by the Foreign Languages Department. I even tried my hand at being a polished English anchor: "Welcome to today's Republic of China News again! I am Eric!" I also became an actor to sing the classic Broadway musical "One" and a scriptwriter to rewrite well-known fairy tales like "Snow White" in the English drama competition.
At Wagor, in addition to dedicated teachers in various subject offices and the cozy counseling room, the Foreign Language Department became a second home to me. Though I initially approached ESL courses and interactions with foreign teachers with some trepidation, I often found myself at the Foreign Language Department's office, chatting with teaching assistants or simply sitting on the couch. During break times, I avoided interacting with foreign teachers or conversing with classmates who spoke English fluently. However, thanks to the encouragement of the Foreign Language Department's director and teaching assistants, I gradually overcame my fears. I began to show my enthusiasm for language learning in the classroom. Even though there were times when my accent made it difficult for foreign teachers to understand me or when I struggled with vocabulary and phrasal expressions, my classmates and teachers were patient and supportive, gradually making me fall in love with ESL classes.
Having heard stories of junior high school life after entering high school, I initially envied the fact that others didn't have to hand over their phones, didn't need to wear white sneakers for physical education or switch to black leather shoes with their uniforms, for not returning home as late as nine or ten at night. I envied them for not having to deliver many English presentations or study a second foreign language. However, these things I once envied became my most unforgettable memories. Opening multiple tabs on my iPad during class to catch the live broadcasts of the latest comeback stage performance of K-pop groups, mistakenly wearing the wrong shoes and having to plead with the Marmhal in the hallway, enjoying dinner at the school cafeteria, buying ice cream with a few friends at the convenience store, chatting on the grass and the command post. After squeezing every bit of knowledge from our weary bodies during night classes, we'd make our way to the second-floor terrace and the sky bridge to enjoy the breeze.
Regarding my experience as an English anchor on stage and the "Snow White" script I hastily drafted on the school bus after night classes, if someone were to ask me why I participated in the English anchor competition twice and put so much effort into English drama competition, my answer is simple: it's the environment at Wagor, the teachers at Wagor, and the fellow students at Wagor. They inspired me to strive to become "The better Eric."
"There's nothing that's not difficult; it's just not as difficult if you're willing to do it." This is probably my takeaway from my three years in junior high school. On a side note, right after graduating from high school, I had the opportunity to travel to Europe. I could communicate in simple German with locals, understand the compliments from the locals, and I truly feel "Das ist schön" (This is beautiful).
In conclusion, I'd like to end with my favorite line from the English drama: "Guys! The beautiful sun has already illuminated every cute little flower!"
