2025 UBS Young Leadership Program

Taiwan’s First UBS Young Leadership Program Exclusively at Wagor International School.

UBS, a global leader in wealth management, serves one out of every two billionaires worldwide. We were honored to collaborate with UBS in offering a two-day workshop for Wagor International School high school students. The program covered essential topics such as financial literacy, asset allocation, philanthropy, artificial intelligence (AI), and contemporary art. Through group discussions and collaborative projects, students engaged directly with experts across various fields, broadening their perspectives and deepening their understanding.

In his opening remarks, Henry Su, Taiwan Location Head of UBS Global Wealth Management, highlighted the distinguished lineup of instructors, which included UBS financial service professionals, Professor Ben-Chang Shia from Fu Jen Catholic University’s Artificial Intelligence Development Center, and renowned art collector Bryant Chao. He emphasized that the program aims to equip students with innovative thinking skills to tackle life’s challenges and make informed decisions, ensuring that they can "achieve success steadily without relying on luck."

A key highlight of the program was the ultimate challenge: "How would you allocate a 1 million U.S. dollar investment portfolio?" This exercise tested students’ ability to integrate their newly acquired knowledge, conduct data analysis, and apply creative thinking to develop optimal investment strategies. Through teamwork, they refined their communication skills and demonstrated confidence and eloquence during their final presentations.

The students, now more financially literate, showcased well-structured investment portfolios incorporating stocks, bonds, and foreign exchange. Their innovative proposals featured AI-driven solutions in healthcare, virtual companionship, and legal services, while also incorporating corporate social responsibility (CSR) principles—earning high praise for their thoughtful and strategic approach.

Ian Ho, Co-Founder of Wagor International School, further demonstrated his support by serving as a panel judge, providing valuable feedback and encouragement to the participants. He emphasized the program’s long-term value, noting that the practical insights gained would benefit students throughout their lives. Looking ahead, he expressed optimism for continued collaboration between Wagor and UBS to create limitless opportunities for Taiwan’s next generation.
